How do I get from Queenstown to Clyde?

We provide a door-to-door shuttle from Queenstown to Clyde, departing at 8:00am, 1:30pm or 6:30pm, or private shuttles are available on request. The trip takes about 60 minutes and costs $150 for two people. It’s the easiest way to start your Otago Central Rail Trail adventure without worrying about parking.

Can you relocate my car from Clyde to Middlemarch?

Accepted Answer

Yes, vehicle relocations are $250 per car. We collect your car in Clyde, store it securely for you and then deliver it to Middlemarch while you ride. Or if you’re riding east to west, we’ll meet you in Middlemarch and relocate your car to Clyde.  This service is ideal if you’re continuing travel after your Rail Trail journey. If you have a rental car, we can provide the rental company with the necessary driver’s license details and our insurance information. Please let us know if you’d like accommodation in Clyde the night before your ride. Alternatively, we offer a daily shuttle from Middlemarch to Clyde. It departs at 1.30pm and is $70pp.

How do I get from Middlemarch to Dunedin?

A shuttle departs Middlemarch at 2:00pm arriving at Dunedin Airport around 3:10 pm-3:25 pm and in the city by 3:30pm. The cost is $100pp (two-person rate). We time this so you can finish your ride and travel the same day.

How does luggage transfer work each day?

Accepted Answer

We collect your bags each morning and deliver them to your next stop. Daily transfers cost $20 per bag (up to 15kg). You’ll only carry what you need for the day, leaving you free to enjoy the Rail Trail.

What is an end-to-end bag transfer?

Accepted Answer

If you have larger bags, we can collect them from you at the start of your ride, store them securely, and return them to you when you finish. The cost is $25 per bag (up to 23kg). This is popular with guests who are touring wider Central Otago.

What if I miss a scheduled shuttle?

Accepted Answer

If you miss a shuttle, call us straight away. We’ll work with you to arrange the best alternative. Extra costs may apply, but we will always help get your Central Otago journey back on track.
